Your Team

Care Givers

Our nurses will put their extensive experience to work for you - to benefit and comfort you in any way possible.

Nurses

Nurses

You will become very familiar with, if not lasting friends with, one or more of our caring and highly-skilled oncology nurses. They serve as the most personal point of contact with your cancer care team, providing medication, education and compassion throughout every phase of treatment. Our nurses want to help you know what to expect and how to manage the side effects resulting from cancer and associated cancer therapies.

Education Nurse

All patients who receive treatment at Montgomery Cancer Center participate in an education program to address specifics about the disease, the Center, the treatment and what to expect during treatment. This program is designed to lessen your overall concerns about chemotherapy and radiation treatment and their side effects. You will also learn about medications, how to alleviate side effects, the importance of nutrition and what to do if you experience problems.

Oncology Certified Nurses

Every chemotherapy patient is assigned to a registered nurse who then becomes a part of the patient's case manager team. He/she will act as your guide, answering your questions and addressing your needs, as well as ensuring that the education program is designed for your specific case.

Pharmacists

Pharmacists

Our licensed pharmacists are expert in the care of oncology and hematology patients, and are highly-trained in directing the accurate delivery of all medications used at the Center. Our infusional pharmacy provides skilled care to our chemotherapy treatment room. Our outpatient pharmacy provides a convenient selection of home medication to support patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Imaging Professionals

Imaging Professionals

Our radiology team is experienced in performing and reading tumor-related imaging studies. The imaging staff is devoted to making your radiology experience as comfortable as possible, ensuring that you never feel rushed.

Laboratory Professionals

Our lab professionals are highly-trained in the fields of oncology and hematology and use state-of-the-art equipment to perform a wide variety of complex laboratory tests. In most cases, same-day laboratory results are made available to your physician. This assists your physician in the evaluation of your medical care, and allows your physician to review these lab results at the time of your office visit.

Radiation Therapy, Physics and Dosimetry Staff

Utilizing the most sophisticated, state-of-the-art equipment available for radiation therapy, our team of radiation therapists perform the radiation therapy treatments, and our physics and dosimetry specialists plan the treatments, calculate and monitor dosage delivery and ensure the accuracy of the equipment. This team of professionals is responsible for ensuring the quality of the radiation procedures you receive.
